Crawler Project

I built this crawler from Bill Rake's Plans. I have skid, and forwarded over a thousand logs with this machine to date. It has worked out great for my purposes. I have completed a tilt bed trailer for hauling smaller logs, firewood, slash, etc. Have completed a log splitter and log arch for the crawler. The splitter was built from scrap iron. The 16 gpm 2-stage hydraulic pump, valve, and 4.5" hydraulic cylinder were purchased new. The hydraulic pulley clutch/PTO assembly can be removed via 4 bolts/nuts, for quick installation and removal from tractor main frame. Will be updating this page as the project progresses. I would like to thank Bill Rake for yet another great and useful machine. This crawler was built from ideas conceived by Bill Rake's inventive genius.
